We are now able to offer you the opportunity to marry within historic Abbey House. Dating back to the mid C16th but with C13th foundations, this unique property has a most wonderful atmosphere. If you are looking for an intimate, familial and quite unique environment this could be the place for you. Whether your ceremony involves just you and your witnesses or you need room for 130 we have a space for you.
Bradley House was build some 300 years ago and turned into a family home some 200 years ago. Throughout that time is has been owned by the Duke's of Somerset. Bradley House is not an hotel experience, in fact it is almost the opposite, a lovely old family home in which you can hold your wedding just as you wish it to be. When renting the house you do so for your complete and exclusive use. It has bedrooms (doubles, twins and two family rooms) to sleep up to 24 people and has cots and blow-up beds for smaller folk. We are licenced for civil weddings in the house for up to 100 guests and Maiden Bradley's lovely old church is right next door with a private entrance from our grounds. For up to 60 guests it is possible to eat in our panelled dining room, for larger numbers we have a marquee which is attached to our coach house that come in three sizes - up to 90 people seated, up to 150 and up to 180. Our coach house, which is in a courtyard next to the house, contains our party suite which is great for....well....partying! It has a disco, a bar, a chill-out area in a lovely Victorian stables and another room that can be used for all manner of things - from entertaining children to holding an evening buffet. Our approach is different from many other wedding venues: there are lots of choices and very few restrictions; we simply offer to help you put together your wedding exactly as you would like it to be. We do this by spending time with you to ensure that we understand what you are looking for and by introducing you to the appropriate recommended suppliers: caterers, musicians, florists and so forth. This helps you get both the wedding you are looking for and the best value possible. We have an event coordinator, Georgia, who has over 12 years experience and who will spend as much or as little time as you need helping you make sure that your day is just how you want it to be.
