What better place to get married than the former home of a romantic poet? Newstead Abbey's Orangery is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Originally the south transept of the Priory Church, the Orangery got its name from the Byron family, who purchased the Newstead estate from Henry VIII in 1540, and converted the transept into a room for growing citrus fruits. The Orangery's ornate plaster ceiling, crystal chandelier and large windows with beautiful garden views beyond make the Orangery a delightful wedding venue. The exclusive use of the French Garden and adjoining Garden Room for the serving of drinks. The Garden Room is quiet, cool and peaceful room, that is ideal for your guests to congregate, while you are having those all-important photographs taken. The décor of the Garden Room is light and cream, so your own colour scheme may be introduced to the room if required. The West Front Suite is also avaliable for hire, it will suit any occasion from formal sit down wedding breakfasts to informal buffets, Located on the first floor of the South West Wing, the main feature of the suite is its stunning view of the West Front, the romantic icon of Newstead Abbey. With its historic feel and stylish contemporary decor it will suit any style of occasion. The west fornt suite will accommodate 70 guests seated and 120 buffet style.

Norwood Park with its original furnishings and imposing, sweeping staircase makes a superb backdrop for your special day. The Palladian style Gallery and partially roofed Courtyard can accommodate up to 180 guests for a wedding breakfast, and up to 250 guests for an evening reception. Our helpful wedding staff can provide as much or as little support as you require when planning your day. THE TALBOT SUITE AT RUFFORD MILL Overlooking tranquil Rufford Lake, this historic brick building was once a corn mill on the Rufford Abbey estate. It's been converted into a wedding venue with a fresh and contemporary style, hosting weddings 7 days a week throughout the year. The function room, on the first floor, is easily reached by lift & stairs and has its own cosy bar adjoining. The spacious and airy 49ft x 29ft room will comfortably seat 150 guests theatre style, or 80 banquet style. A dedicated car park in the mill courtyard offers 20 spaces.
