Meols Hall is Southport's historical manor house dating back to the early 12th Century. Set in one hundred acres of private park land close to the picturesque village of Churchtown, this is one of the oldest settlements on the Lancashire coast. Rufford Old Hall is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships which take place in the Tudor Great Hall on a Thursday, Friday & Saturday March to September? Winter weddings are also offered by arrangement during November and December? We can offer exclusive access to you and your guests on Thursdays and Fridays when Rufford Old Hall is closed to the public (with the exception of Thursdays during August, when Rufford Old Hall will be open, and ceremonies must commence at 11am). Although Rufford Old Hall is open to the public at weekends, Saturdays remain a very popular choice for a civil ceremony. You are assured of a personal service as we only offer one wedding per day. A drinks reception can be arranged which will usually take place under a gazebo in the gardens. Please see attached National Trust drinks list, a corkage facility is not offered. We also work with approved caterers who can provide canapés for drinks receptions. We are pleased to be able to offer our Victorian Tea Room for intimate receptions for up to 24 guests on Thursday* and Friday from February to December.
