Hampden House is set in one of the most beautiful areas of the country, amongst the wooded Chiltern Hills, with magnificent views over the valley. This honey-coloured, brick and flint house dates back to the 14th Century and was home to the Hampden family, later the Earls of Buckinghamshire, for over 800 years.The venue is approached up a long drive, flanked with rhododendrons and mature trees. The drive passes the delightful 16th Century parish church and at night is floodlit, creating the most magical atmosphere.The Great Hall is a superb 60ft oak panelled room with a huge fireplace. The Dining Room, overlooking the parkland, is richly decorated in white and gold with ornate plaster mouldings and a carved fireplace. Up to 100 guests can be seated for dining or up to 150 for a canapés reception. The venue is licensed for civil weddings. For dancing and larger weddings the house may be extended with a Marquee.
