Men and women are pretty much biologically identical (apart from the obvious). However, with our vast experience with training the different sexes, men and women usually have different goals when it comes to weight loss and toning. Most women for example have toned legs, bum and tummy as there major areas to work on. As a woman its very doubtful you see having bigger shoulders and biceps as you main priority – unlike men! Therefore, at Adam Cochrane Fitness I am different to most personal trainers in that I have separate programs for women and men. Yes for both sexes I will use anaerobic interval training to burn off excess fat and make you fitter, but the toning exercises in general will look at those areas you as a woman really want to change.
