Set on the river Lee, Cork is the second largest city in Ireland and an equally exciting choice as Dublin for a hen weekend. With beautiful countryside combined with some of the best culture in Ireland including music, theatre and film, Cork is vibrant and diverse with something for everyone. Shopping is first-class in Cork with three large shopping malls as well as Grand Parade and Patrick Street where you can wander off down side streets to discover some real unique gems. If you're shopped out then Cork is known for it's excellent food so spend the day wining and dining in one of the many restaurants along the river. Alternatively, stroll along the 17th Century alleys or head to Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone. Set around the River Lee, Cork combines traditional and contemporary with its 17th Century alleys as well as modern shops, galleries, restaurants and bars. As with most places in Ireland, the city offers an abundance of characteristic pubs serving the much loved Irish black beauty; Guinness. As long as you're still standing when you leave the pub, there's plenty of late night bars, nightclubs and casinos on offer for a truly brilliant night out with the boys. Whatever you choose to do in Cork, the people are known to have an excellent sense of humour so you're guaranteed it will be a great craic!
