INTRODUCTION AND CONTRIBUTING TO OUR NETWORKING AND FORUMS

Welcome to the wednet.co.uk forum! To help you, this post lays out some general rules, guidelines and answers to some F.A.Q’s.

————————————————————————————————
CHOOSING A CATEGORY

When discussions are created you are required to choose a category. Please make sure you choose the correct category!  Do not, for instance, post an article about wedding cars in the wedding dress category.  This category is for wedding dress ideas not to chat about cars!  There are separate discussion categories for those topics!

Also while you are allowed to post about everyday life to get help from other people, threads with topics such as “Just got back from the supermarket” are generally not allowed and the site editor will delete if it’s too much like unrelated wedding chat or general social networking.

Look through the discussions in each category to get to know the kinds of topics which should be posted in them.

If you do post in the wrong category, you can contact a system administrator or the site editor to have it removed or it may be automatically deleted if spotted.

———————————————————-
GENERAL NETWORKING THREAD!

General Networking is a thread where if you want to chat about non-wedding related topics you can just join in with the chat. This is where you can make friends, swap ideas or just have a general rant about your new husband or wife to be!

We aim to keep the general chatting in one single thread. This also means that if it’s in one place, it helps us to communicate better and share the other parts of our site and forums thoroughly as a community, rather than having things dotted all over the site.

GENERAL NETWORKING THREADS – Will be sunk after 24hrs to a second page (the thread will still be available to view), this is to keep the front page to wedding talk.

BEFORE YOU POST

Before you post topics or replies please check:
* Are you posting in the correct category on the right topic? Putting things in the right category helps everyone, as some time in to the future someone may go looking for a certain topic, they might then find your thread with lots of useful replies to help them.

* Have you checked to see if the discussion isn’t already answered? (Please do not post the same topic but worded differently within an hour of each other, but use the same thread).

* Is your topic descriptive of your comment? (Please keep it relevant!)

These three simple checks might sound like common sense, however it’s often easy to get carried away! And no one wants to have to trawl through 10 different discussions all talking about the same thing to find what is useful to them.
